Microsoft Office 2007 in Public Beta

Office 2007 Beta 2 has been available for download since May. Because of the demand - Microsoft claims over 3 million downloads over the past few months - the company will charge $1.50 per download to offset server expenses beginning on Wednesday, August 2. If you're using an earlier beta, though, the fee will be waived.

Microsoft has never charged a fee for beta software and, according to reports published in several media outlets, there is no plan to do so in the future. You can download Microsoft Office 2007 Beta 2 here.
