I have a handy disk that I use to wipe out partitions
automatically on my computer when I am installing a new hard drive. It will wipe out
multiple partitions if you boot up with it once for each partition.
The "Zap" disk is simple to make
- Format a floppy - make it bootable (format a: /s)
Copy fdisk.exe onto the floppy
Make a text file with the keystrokes to delete partition for your version of fdisk. For
example, my text file consists of the number "3", then two returns, and then a
"y". Name the text file "erase" I am using an ancient version of
fdisk. So Im not sure what the keystrokes are for dos 7. Save the text file called
erase on the floppy disk.
Make an autoexec.bat file for the floppy and put in it "fdisk
Make sure the system you put on the floppy corresponds with the same
version of fdisk.exe you put on the floppy.
