However, at times you may need to get rid of the old workouts cluttering your records. It's impossible to delete a workout through the Apple watch itself, as the watch does not have any feature that supports it.  However, you can delete the workouts in two options. You can either use the Fitness app or the Health app on your paired iPhone, as all workouts are saved on these two apps. Now let's head to the process of deleting a workout on the Apple Watch.


Delete a Workout on Apple Watch via the Fitness “Activity” app

The process of deleting a workout record on your Apple Watch is straightforward. Follow these steps to get it done:

Step 1: On your iPhone, launch the Fitness app.

Step 2: At the bottom of the screen, tap on Workouts. (The workouts tab will only be visible if you have enough workout data saved on your Fitness app. Otherwise, you will see the workouts list on the summary tab).

Step 3: Besides the Workout section, tap on Show More.

Step 4: Slide left on the workout you intend to delete.

Step 5: Tap on the Delete 

Step 6: A pop message will appear asking you to confirm what you want to delete. You can delete Workout & Data to remove the workout record from the Fitness app and the Health app. Or choose Delete Workout Only to remove the workout record from the Fitness app and leave the Health app data intact.

You can also delete your workout record via the health app. Follow these steps to get it done:

Step 1: On your iPhone, launch the Fitness app.

Step 2: Tap on the Summary 

Step 3: Tap on Show All Health Data.

Step 4: Scroll down and tap on Workouts.

Step 5: Scroll down and tap on Show All Data.

Step 6: A list with all workout records will appear; find the Workout you wish to delete.

Step 7: Swipe the Workout from right to left to reveal the delete button, and then tap on the Delete button to remove the workout. (Or tap on the Edit button and then the red Delete button).

A pop message will appear asking you to confirm what you want to delete. Here you can choose:

  1. Delete Workout & Data to remove the workout record from both the Fitness app and the Health app.
  2. Delete Workout Only to remove the workout record from the Fitness app and leave the Health app data intact.
  3. Or, if you no longer wish to delete the workout, tap on the Cancel button.

In case you did not turn on your Apple Watch for exercise activity. It's possible to incorporate some approximate figures through your iPhone Via the Health app.

If your apple watch keeps pausing or getting false inputs during a workout, go ahead and adjust your Apple Watch location on your wrist as you may be hitting the pause button. Or else turn on Water Lock:
